Ms. Traisuree Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Minister of Interior and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, said that on 12 February 2025, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, and Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Signed the Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Interior Order No. 478/2568 on the temporary prohibition of issuing firearm licenses (Form Por. 12), the gist of which is a ban on registrars issuing firearm licenses for 1 year from the day following the announcement in the Government Gazette.
